In early 2018, our founder lost the most influential man in his life, his father Luther O. Gibbs Jr. His mother and father taught him the importance of education coupled with a well-rounded portfolio. Thanks to their parents, our founder and his brothers, Terence and Trayshon (deceased), were always afforded the opportunities to be involved in beneficial extra-curricular activities and sports.
From the beginning up until his passing, Mr. Gibbs was a huge supporter of THE GLORI FOUNDATION, and used his experience in education to help his son “MAKE A DIFFERENCE” in the lives of children. He was always willing to help with classes, tutoring and after-care.
In honor of his late father, this scholarship fund will be a programs and activities fund to be awarded to students wanting to participate in wholesome extracurricular activities / clubs / groups / sports, whose grades support their sense of responsibility, but their families may not be financially able to pay the fees and costs associated with these opportunities.
